A little about me

I love anything to do with the mountains whether hiking in summer time and then dunking in the lake to cool off or snowboarding down the snowy slopes in the winter. My hobbies of landscape photography and astrophotography keep me exploring the outdoors all year round. New Zealand has some of the most amazing clear skies for astro in case you hadn’t heard so you will often find me staying up late to capture the stars. There are so many places to explore and my camera is always along for the ride.

squeezing the most out of life

I was born in Boston and got the travel bug in my early teen years. My passport is probably one of my most prized possessions. I have since lived in Spain, Italy, Australia, New Zealand and Japan along with a few different states in the USA. I love learning languages, experiencing different cultures and eating all of the FOOD. Ask me about the pies in NZ, I have plenty of suggestions.

Why New Zealand?

I first visited New Zealand in 2013 and fell in love with this beautiful country. I moved here in 2015 on a working holiday visa and started working at Mt Hutt near Chistchurch. Snowy mountains became my happy place and I chased winter to Japan and back for almost 5 years before COVID changed things. Now, I have made my way back to NZ which truly feels like home to hopefully set up roots for the long term.

I believe couples should be able to have an elopement day that feels truly right for them. They don’t need to meet anyone’s expectations but their own. I fully encourage and support couples who want to start their lives together by creating an epic adventure. If I sound like the right photographer for you and your partner, reach out below and we can get started planning your New Zealand elopement!

I believe in responsible recreation in the outdoors both to respect the traditional custodians of the land as well as preserve the land for future generations. I strive to Leave No Trace while working in the outdoors. I believe in traveling as sustainably as possible and with every booking work to offset my carbon emissions as well as any customer travel by donating to a local charity that plants native trees in Aotearoa.
